Needless to say, there is no need to actually read any of Ravi's screeds because it's all there in the Subject line, but it's great when someone reacts to one with humor. Lord knows one needs a little humor when the person whose mental health we were all concerned enough about a few months ago to try to intervene and get him to seek treatment is up at 4:00 AM every morning saying that someone *else* is crazy. :-) Let's hear it for line on stone, and holding grudges. If it weren't for grudges, some posters on FFL would have nothing to say.

Actually it usually starts to happen when Barry's obnoxiousness starts reaching critical mass. A moment's reflection should have told Dittohead Sal that Ravi is not exactly a TM TB. He finds Barry's extreme arrogance, self-importance, and propensity to gratuitously demonize those who disagree with him to be unacceptable behavior. Barry's criticism of MMY and the TMO is only incidental. Again, a moment's reflection should be enough to make it obvious that a great deal of criticism of MMY and the TMO floats around here without inciting any strong reactions toward the critics; and by the same token, it isn't just Barry's criticisms of MMY and the TMO, or anything even related, that provokes strong reactions. It's Barry *himself*--his personality (disordered or otherwise, and I respectfully disagree with wayback that it isn't), his attitude, the way he relates to others, his sadism, his lack of integrity, and his gross hypocrisy--that more and more on FFL are finding insufferable. Ravi's making a point that Dittohead Sal has clearly missed (no surprise there): Some think it's more appropriate to apply personality- disorder criteria cribbed from a pop psychology text to evaluate a dead person with whom nobody here has been in contact for decades, than it is to apply similar criteria to a prolific current poster with whom we've all been in regular contact for quite some time.

I have no idea whether Turquoise B has a personality disorder, but he certainly expresses a lot of anger and aggression toward others. He loves to mock and goad and bully and ridicule other people. In my experience this kind of behavior is an attempt, whether conscious or not, to compensate for some personal unhappiness, perhaps involving feelings of inadequacy or failure. The lashing out at others in an electronic forum provides him with some temporary relief in a way that avoids having to deal with the painfulness of the underlying condition, which may be beyond repair. --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, authfriend jstein@... wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Sal Sunshine salsunshine@ wrote: On Mar 2, 2011, at 11:49 AM, turquoiseb wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, wayback71 wayback71@ wrote: Ravi, I respectfully disagree with your diagnosis of Barry.
