You mean some prize and some material gain he'd
get before the five years were up and it turned out
folks weren't enlightened yet?

So, let's see, he was planning to take the money
and run at the five-year mark, but then he decided
to stick around because...

That's where I get stuck with the "prize" theory.

How about shining that brightness on your theories
of MMY as scam artist and seeing if they actually
make sense before you voice them?
