IMO, the quickest way to stop these terrorists is to cut off the flow of money
that they're getting from the organization. After all of these years in
fighting these terrorists, it's a puzzle why the US intelligence agencies could
not figure this out. Is there a conspiracy to keep the price of oil at the
present level? Are American companies buying oil from the terrorists in Syria?

Nonsense. Everybody involved knows how important it is to cut off ISIS's money
supply, and there are a number of efforts working toward this goal. But it's
very difficult and so far the efforts have been only partially successful.

Even better article:

You can see it's a complicated problem and the US doesn't want to offend
it's oil buddies in the Middle East but at some point it will need to.
But destabilizing the Middle East has been a long term goal of US
administrations. ISIS makes a good bogeyman to keep the US military
industrial complex very profitable. It's all about the money.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Putin Seeks Global Fight Against Terrorism

2015-11-21 Thread jr_...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Judy,

According to this article, the oil from ISIS are sold to the governments of
Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran at a discount by as much as 75 percent of market
price. However, I wouldn't be surprised if some European countries are buying
oil from ISIS too. From a personal standpoint, this is the reason why fuel has
been very cheap at the local gas pumps.

The US government probably knows this is happening, and, at the present time,
has not bombed the oil rigs and plants in Syria for fear that the local
population would suffer from lack of oil supply.

With all of the world powers against the atrocities committed by ISIS, the
organization's days are numbered. In a separate article yesterday, John Kerry
said that the US can neutralize ISIS quicker than it did against Al Qaeda. It
sounds like a commando raid to take out Al Baghdadi is being planned. If the
US doesn't do it, the Russians will do the job in equal measure.
