Re: [FairfieldLife] The poetry of motion
It proves the existence of something interesting, that's for sure. Looked at this way it's like dance, but this sort of symmetry would be music if the strings were plucked. Complimentary notes every time a string is halved or quartered. I'm sure Curtis could tell us more about that. Did you see the similar videos offered at the end? There's the same thing with glow-in-the-dark balls, or with just the shadows. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, wrote : Wow! thanks, salyavin PS I'd say this is one way that balls can be used to prove the existence of God (-: On Friday, April 25, 2014 5:53 AM, salyavin808 wrote: Pendulum Waves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVkdfJ9PkRQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVkdfJ9PkRQ Pendulum Waves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVkdfJ9PkRQ Fifteen uncoupled simple pendulums of monotonically increasing lengths dance together to produce visual traveling waves, standing waves, beating, and... Re: [FairfieldLife] The poetry of motion
Lovely. Although you won't get the reference unless you are a fan of English Country Dancing, it reminds me of the patterns formed by a group of dancers when they are really in sync, and moving as they should to the music. It's magic to be part of such a group, or even to witness it.
