From the pacing of the movie and unfolding of some of the relationships in it,
I'd guess that they're aiming for one more prequel.

The Star Trek movie isn't doing so hot at the box office:

Probably time to retire the franchise or do something very different
with it. May a Lars Van Triers sequel? :-D

tie ins to the original TV series so it helps if you're familiar with that.
I'd give it a 6.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Action packed, some good humor and
a pretty good plot. But maybe the element of surprise missing, such as the
 first prequel had.

My movie last night was American Mary, a horror thriller. Definitely
not for the weak here but a very, very well done film. And not just a
good horror film but a well done film over all. It's on VUDU as a
pre-theatrical release but at regular rental price. I like films with
substance to them not just contrived focus group driven entertainment.
It's about a medical student who gets into the world of body
modification. Very Lynchian though more Jennifer than David.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1959332/

I've also been watching episodes of Preamar on HBO VOD which is a
Brazilian TV series about an unemployed bank executive. Lots of Rio
beach scenery and some Brazilian music.

They have no minds of their own, and are just
following the lead of someone who once dressed
that way and got Maharishi's attention? :-)

Maharishi often advised people on how to dress, or stated preferences.

Letting your freak flag fly, and all, I am pretty sure you
aren't bopping into your latest corporate gig, stylin'
huarache sandals and a headband. Do they even let you
play your Bruce Cockburn songs, softly, in your cube?
I'll reply to this merely to point out how out of
touch or essentially conservative and non-freak you
are. I work again (as many may have guessed) for IBM,
in the same offices that used to be ILOG, the French
AI company I worked for before IBM acquired it.

Today I wore sandals, jeans, and a T-shirt that says,
You can't take the sky from me (a line from Firefly)
to work. In the entire building, no one was wearing a
suit, including the executives. Everyone was pretty
much dressed the way they wanted to, in fact.

Our IBM office was chosen from among literally thousands
of others to work on the project I'm assigned to *because*
the project is at the very top of IBM's Priority List.
Without exaggeration, no other project within IBM is
seen as being of greater impact to IBM's future and its
 future bottom line than Worklight.

When you have a bunch of developers and information
development specialists who have proved their worth in
the past, and have consistently produced the best quality
work in all of IBM, you don't fuck with that by telling
 them what to wear.

If you had to deal with that, I feel for you. Why didn't
you just quit and work for more interesting companies?

Where I worked we looked askance at anyone who came to a job interview
wearing a suit. We were definitely not a suit company.

I commented on the ubiquity of blue suits, white shirts and
red ties to a TB chap I worked with and he said that someone had
come in dressed like that once, and Marshy had said He looks good.
By the end of the month everyone had the same outfit!

the woman who gave my intro and prep lectures was a god looking woman - I

lecture and personal interview, I was so tanked up on dope I could hardly talk.
