That happens to be a perfect time to communicate this vision to a sizable portion of the community that will be gathered for that event. Unfortunately it is in Gimpnet instead of Freenode and tends to be more disconnected from the Fedora community as a result but the Fedora desktop team believes that that since they are build around GNOME, the advantage of a better connection with the upstream community outweighs the disadvantages. Seriously? Does the Fedora Desktop team have any actual ties to Fedora or just name sharing similar to our relationship with OLPC? -Mike ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list

It's not exactly hard to find, unless you're attempting to be obtuse. And if a search is too much, the wiki is fixed now. :P (Considering the XFCE, Sugar, netbook, and other groups aren't listed...) It does dynamic galleries based on the tags you add to photos. It seems pretty sweet: http://www.transarte.net/mediawiki/index.php/Gallery2wiki I have used gallery before and it's not bad so I think this might be worth a try? Absolutely, we can give it a go. The problem we have in this case is initial setups, if you wanted shell on a box to get it up and going and see if its your thing we can make sure to get it in the rollout. If not we'll make sure its in shortly after that. The infrastructure team loves the art team, anything we can do to help we're quite happy to do. Do we have a jobs bulletin board that is easily advertisable? If we are having a spike in web-design needs which is outstripping our current contributor pool, perhaps F8 release is a really really good time to make a push for new contributors in the web-design area. We, we don't really have a UI/web design service. We have the Art Design Service page. We have the web request page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Websites/PageRequests But we seem low on people actually designing. Some stuff, like start.fedoraproject.org I've been very surprised of the low turnout. Help Wanted - Websites, Infrastructure
Hello Art team. The websites and infrastructure teams are looking for a few good people to help with the presentation of our applications and websites. We have a few people working on a lot of pages and more help is needed. Specifically we are looking for the following skill set: * Strong HTML / CSS skills * Ability to create images (or get them made by others) * Quick prototyping abilities * Thick skin * Couple of hours of free time to work / week * UI, someone that can make our website feel cohesive and intuitive * A nack for documenting standards and knowledge of various ADA and other web standards Some pretty big changes are coming to the website soon like better internationalization support, moving some content from the wiki to the 'static' page, better designs and a consistent look of all of our apps. If you're interested please let me know. We already have outstanding tasks. I'd prefer someone without much coding experience as the last two people that joined are now deep in building some new and critical applications, I'm hoping to find some people that are presentation only. -Mike ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list
