Kerry, I never answered this question. I/D helped Lucy for a few weeks and then she grew sensitive to it, and even a few pieces of it would set her off at this point. I couldn't remember.. Have you used science diet I/D for Lucy any? I know science diets may not be the best in the world, but I have had all my animals on it for years..with great results... Anyway, thanks for the info and I will let you know how Inky does on the upped dose of pred..I just wish I could get him down to a lower dose, but it may never be possible..Since he is so old, I may just need to leave it alone instead of trying to go down..
