[issue2160] dnxhd decoder error with Avid DNxHD 145

2010-08-11 Thread Carl Eugen Hoyos

Carl Eugen Hoyos ceho...@rainbow.studorg.tuwien.ac.at added the comment:

After many successful calls to klv_read_packet(), one fails when calling
mxf_read_sync() when trying to open incoming/PW0805A0V01.4C5B5636.EFA330.mxf.

At least the fact that there is no helpful error message should be considered as
bug.

Reimar, could you explain (again) what kind of input would lead to the
 memleaks
you describe? I could try to find a sample and open a new bug report.

First, I consider the code broken regardless of whether any input
file can cause a leak currently.
However any mkv file with too many tracks should leak memory for
title and language of the first 20 streams.

[issue2160] dnxhd decoder error with Avid DNxHD 145

2010-08-11 Thread Baptiste Coudurier

Baptiste Coudurier baptiste.coudur...@gmail.com added the comment:

Yes, interlaced raw dnxhd input support is buggy.
The MXF is a proprietary avid one that does not use the regular key for
elements, so read_header does not find any essence packet.
