END USER SOFTWARE LICENCE AGREEMENT

IMPORTANT - NOTICE TO USER: This SOFTWARE licence agreement is subject to your 
registration as stated in the article 9 below. If you fail to register, you 
will not be eligible for SOFTWARE update. Please read this licence contract 
carefully before installing and using the SOFTWARE: it defines the rights and 
restrictions that You acknowledge having read and understood and You declare to 
accept through a click on the button I accept the terms in the Licence 
Agreement and/or by using the SOFTWARE totally or partly. You can not install, 
duplicate, access or use the SOFTWARE without accepting the present licence 
contract’s terms. If you do not agree with the present licence contract’s 
terms, You are not granted the right to install and use the SOFTWARE and You 
must immediately contact your retailer, in order to obtain its instruction in 
accordance with its return -uninstalled and unused- products policy. The terms 
of a licence contract printed on paper, provided with the SOFTWARE or any 
updates, can complete or even replace the terms of the licence contract 
digitally displayed on your screen, and included in the SOFTWARE.

The SOFTWARE can contain several versions of the present licence contract, in 
different languages or on different medias (for example, in the user’s 
documentation and in the software). In case of ambiguity, the English version 
shall be deemed reliable.

1. DEFINITIONS

Documentation means any written or digital documentation including the 
SOFTWARE’s installation and user manuals.

SOFTWARE means SOFTWARE’s executable code, any documentation concerning this 
SOFTWARE, and any product provided for the purpose of the SOFTWARE’s 
maintenance.

You and Users means the individual or legal person to whom the present 
licence is granted, as well as his/her/its employees, consultants, agents. 

Platform means the specific combination of computer equipment and software 
programs, certified by your retailer on which the SOFTWARE may be installed and 
through which Users can access the SOFTWARE. You declare that you have had 
knowledge of the list of the Platforms certified by your retailer within the 
framework of the present licence contract. This list is subject to modification 
and evolution upon the decision of your retailer.

2. LICENCE CONCESSION. The SOFTWARE is protected by international regulations 
and treaties concerning copyright, and international regulations and treaties 
concerning intellectual property. The software is not sold, but its usage is 
authorized subject to a licence .

2.1 SOFTWARE’s Installation and use. Subject to the full payment of 
corresponding fees , You are granted a personal, limited, non-transferable and 
non-exclusive right to install and use a copy of the SOFTWARE, in its 
executable form, only on your own certified Platform. This installation and use 
right is personal and may not be assigned or loaned to any person; any other 
use is formally forbidden. This licence is only intended to fulfil you internal 
needs. That is to say that the SOFTWARE shall be used by You only which 
excludes any network management services for another party or any facilities 
management. The SOFTWARE’s delivery does not include its installation, 
configuration, adaptation, customization and maintenance services; neither its 
adaptation to your needs. 

2.2 Copy. Non-authorized copies of the SOFTWARE are legally prohibited. 
Cheating any protection technology against illegal copying which would be 
included in the SOFTWARE is also legally prohibited. Unless this copy is 
delivered to you with the SOFTWARE, You are authorised to make one backup copy, 
which is the only legally authorised copy, under the condition that you 
reproduce all copyright mentions or any other property right mentions. This 
copy can only be used for

The program Coby Media Manager appears to violate the GPL.  It can be downloaded
from Coby at http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=fix_mp822
A program called encoder.exe is installed, which is a version of FFmpeg which
was modified and compiled with --enable-gpl and --enable-nonfree.  I could find
no source code for this.  The only modification I immediately noticed was that
some file arguments are apparently passed as Base64-encoded Unicode strings. 
For example, C:\test.mpg is passed as QwA6AFwAdABlAHMAdAAuAG0AcABnAA==
