i have run now ffmpeg -h to see what could be the ffmpeg you need but have
no clue. what would be the ffmpeg command in detail that i have to run on
those files to get the output you need?

Instead please provide the ffmpeg command lines including their
complete, uncut console output both when converting to working
and broken files.
Also try the native mpeg4 encoder (that is - contrary to the xvid
encoder - supported here), you probably have to disable b frames
and global motion compensation.

not related to FPS or resolution. here read my mplayer output of 3 videos
failing followed by 3 videos playing well:

well how do i do the define a more refined codec than mpeg4? and why does
it play with this sometime and sometimes not.
the command is uncut except the -i .

swapping in and out file types, you can then remove the codecs since mpeg4 
and matching audio are assumed from the file type. That said, the Bravia may 
be more sensitive to encodings than a simple "needs mpeg4".
