[Finale] O.T. Graupner Cantatas in the DDT
Hi everyone: I'm trying to find out if the following titles are in the DDT Graupner vol. I can't seem to locate a listing of the actual cantatas. Maybe someone on the list will have better sources than me? Author: Graupner, Christoph, 1683-1760. Title: Ausgewählte Kantaten. Hrsg. von Friedrich Noack. Next week I'll be going to the Utrecht University Library for some Charpentier music, I can look it up for you. They have the DDT series. [Finale] Midi Key Velocities (Auto Dynamic Placement Plug in con't)
FinMac2008a Im still working with this Auto Dynamic Placement plugin... In a sequencer I step entered the following quarter notes, with the following On key velocities Note On Key VelocityDefault Dynamic Values in Expression Selection - -- C3 10 D3 23 ppp E3 36 pp F3 49 p G3 62 mp A3 75 mf B3 88 f C4 101 ff D4 114 fff E4 127 These On Key Velocities correspond exactly to the Default Dynamic Values found in the Expression Selection of the Expression Tool, and the Auto Dynamics Placement Plug in (its the same thing). I also used Note Expression and Text, as my choices. I then imported this midi file into Finale, and then simply saved it, and exported it out as a midi file--this was to see if Finale changed these values at this step.. it didnt, as they remained the same. However when trying to use this Auto Dynamic Placement plug in to automatically assign dynamics to these notes, I didnt get the same expected results, above- I got the following dynamics, and returned On Key Velocities (The plugin works in that it seems to have assigned the right dynamics to the velocities..but somehow these velocities have been changed from my initial Midi file) Note On Key VelocityDefault Dynamic Values in Expression Selection - -- C3 28ppp D3 37pp E3 52p F3 63mp G3 80mf A3 89f B3 104 ff C4115 fff D4127 E4127 It also messes with the values of a quarter note, which was 480, changing it from 443-461 The settings Im using with the plugin are: Min Vel Change between Dynamics: 8 The Default Dynamic values (above) Place by: Entry Uncheck Avoid Accents Placement Layer 4 Voice 2 Use Default positioning HP has to be on , or the results I get REALLY are bad. so I chose Standard with its default settings. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how and why these on velocities changed ?. I need for them to stay the same as the imported midi file, as then the plugin would seem to work fine Thank you for any kind help you may offer. Bob Morabito PS_ I also, in Finale entered the above notes and assigned the dynamics from the default chart to them and then exported that midi file. I expected to see the default dynamics in my sequence.but they were changed also..
