[Finale] FINALE READING Midi
Some help needed here. This problem cropped up after a period of time when I didn't use Finale. II can't get Finale to read my midi keyboard. Sibelius works fine. I've tried everything I can think of, including restarting Finale, restarting the computer, etc. Here's what I've got, under the Midi/ Audio menu: Play Finale through Audio Units or Play Finale through Midi (I've tried both) Audio Device: Midi Thru... Send Midi Value: All Midi Channels, Data: Key Off What else should I check. As I said above, midi is working for other applications. Finale 2010; MacBookPro; Midi keyboard DX7 Any help would be welcome. All the best, KIM R ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
Re: [Finale] FINALE READING Midi
You need to go to Audio Midi Setup up in Mac OS X and make sure stuff is set up right in there... On Nov 16, 2010, at 9:44 AM, Kim Richmond wrote: Some help needed here. Re: [Finale] FINALE READING Midi
MIDI/Audio - Device Setup - MIDI/Internal Speaker setup: make sure your Input Device matches what you have configured in your OS X Audio MIDI Setup, and make sure the name of the selected device isn't in italics (that means Finale can't find it). [Finale] OT: Danish Translation
Hoping to find a Danish speaker on the list. I found some horn duets by Peter Rasmussen. There are some Danish musical indications in the score. At the end of a set of variations, the term Slutning is used in place of Var. 5. Google Translate says it means containment, but I wonder if there is an alternate translation that is more musically appropriate. I suspect that Coda would suffice, but I'd like some confirmation. Thanks for your help! ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
Re: [Finale] OT: Danish Translation
Slutning means ending. I don’t know the music, so I don’t know whether Coda will be right here. English movies used to end with the text: The End. The Danish equivalent is Slut. Some foreigners took offense from that.
