Interesting; I use many of the TGTools in Fin2k12, but shift accidentals not
only doesn't work for me, it crashes Finale. I'm on Win7.

given weirdness encountered with update groups already in 2010
(which i almost never discovered right when it happened), i am not
exactly keen to try it out just for fun at this stage.

i use shift accis / smart shape ends, harmonics and align dynamics
(all note- or measure-related) but not much more (e.g. things related
to staff or layout). anxiously awaiting an update...

Have you tried TGTools? Much of it still works in Fin12.

is there an up-to-date plugin that can do this? i know TGTools
transfer did this but it has not yet been updated for F2012.

i need to split a score into 2 documents to be able to complete it,
since i reached the frame limit some time ago and have almost nothing
else left to do that does not require more frames. unfortunately
there is still much work to do on the PTs but i need to complete and
  send the SC.

this means when i complete the PTs in the 1st document, i need the
layout (even if music has been erased) to be the same in the 2nd
document so that page numbering works out right.

[Finale] Is there a tool/plug-in for this?

2012-10-30 Thread Andrew Levin
Hi, all,

I have some faint recollection of method for editing that paid very little
attention to when I first came across it, and now that I need this
functionality I can't find it in the documentation.

Specifically I have an arrangement of Schubert's Ave Maria that I want to
alter. Specifically, the inner voices are eighth-rest followed by five eighth
notes, all in eighth-note triplets. I want to change lots of the notes. I could:

1) drag notes to their new positions
2) erase and start again (I don't want to have to recreate the rhythms again
for so many measures)

I have some recollection of a process that marries a given rhythm with other
notes. Can some tell me if I'm imagining this, and if not, where I might find
it in the documentation?

Thanks!

Andrew
