[Finale] Problem with the saving process in FM2014

2014-01-05 Thread Klaus Smedegaard Bjerre
In my current project I used a FM2012 file as template. Which I have done
before without problems, and I am not aware that I have changed any settings
aside of the destination folder for the asv-files, which had jumped to the
default folder.

I use to save a file after having done a major operation like a transposition.
However now the file is save as a new file with the same name, only a ~ is
entered between the end of the name and the .musx suffix. I didn't notice that
at once so I saved one of these new files resulting in a third file with ~~ in
the same place of the file name.

What have I done wrong?

How to remedy the problem?

Klaus

PS: My workaround is about doing a Save as, but that takes the extra step of
deleting the original file.

Re: [Finale] Tuplet problem: Fin/win 2014 (bug?)

2014-01-05 Thread arabushka
Hey Mark!

Have you tried putting a rest between your 5-let and the end of the measure,
then removing it later? It may not help, but I found that the tuplet problem I
was having depends on whether or not the tuplet is at the end of a bar.

 Dear all,

I'm making an arrangement for violin, cello, guitar:-
6/8 time signature with a pickup of one 8th note and attempting to insert a
32nd note pentuplet. After I've inserted the pentuplet successfully, I've
then attempted to progress to the first full measure, I've clicked to insert
a note in that measure and the pentuplet promptly disappears! I can
successfully undo to recover the pentuplet but the same thing happens on
repeated attempts. Any ideas? I should say also that on first creating the
pentuplet, the file crashed and self recovered in the 'recommended' fashion,
so maybe I will attempt a full close down and re-initiate the software.

Thanks in advance for your help.

 Best regards, Mark Houghton
