Can a divisi part (mistakenly) entered into a single voice/layer in
Speedy be divided easily into up stem/down stem notes?

[Finale] Rehearsal numbers for orchestral score

2005-05-05 Thread John McGann/Original Custom Transcription Service
I'd like to have each bar numbered at the bottom of my score, but
can't figure how to get it just at the bottom- the Always Show on
Bottom Staff makes them appear on the different systems, but not
just below the bass...thanks!

[Finale] Preparing Orchestral Score and Parts

2005-03-26 Thread John McGann/Original Custom Transcription Service
I searched for a FAQ but didn't find this, forgive me if it has been
answered many times:

1) In going for a 10 x 13 format conductor's score, what issues
should watch out for in terms of preparation for printing via pdf for
double sided printing? I need the title page with instrumentation on
the first actual page, then to have the actual score begin on page 2,
which would be the first left handed page- correct?

2) Comb binding for conductor's scores?
3) For printing parts, will your average print shop be able to
handle printing onto a single sheet, which when folded and opened,
will yield two pages? At the same 10 x 13 format?

Any tips/pitfalls to avoid from you experienced professionals would
be greatly appreciated. I am aware of the fundamentals like proper
rest groupings, rehearsal letters etc.

Thanks in advance!
