[Finale] Default document

2009-03-15 Thread Haroldo Mauro Jr .

Does the Finale Help File (FinMac, 2008) tells in what folder a default
document should be saved? I know it is in the Component Files folder, but does
the manual explain that? Where? Looking up Default Document I got the idea
that it could be anywhere, since it says nothing about it.

Hi Harold-
Is this it?

Bob

p 403, Under Launch Window

• Default Document. Choose this option to open a new default
document. Finale’s default doc ument,
named Maestro Font Default.ftm and located in the Component Files
folder, is a sin gle staff

document with 31 measures.

Thanks. Did you get to page 403 by typing Default Document in the search
field?

Yes, but I did it outside of Finale--
I keep a copy of the User manual separate from Finale, and typed it
in the Find box, in Acrobat.

How did you do that? The help folder contains a large number of .htm and image
files. Is there a User Manual in pdf separate from the help system? I would
like to do the same. That would be great.

The Finale help system was changed in Finale 2008. Earlier versions have
a manual in PDF form; the most recent two versions have an HTML-based
system.
