Re: [Finale] How to move notes

Or you add a note (quarter?) before the notes
You want to move. Finale tells you that there are too many notes in that
bar and askes what to do? You select move the notes to the next bar and so
on.

Re: [Finale] How to move notes

2014-03-29 Thread John Roberts
That's what I would have done - but is there a way to delete a note at
the end of the section you want moved, then leave the measure in Speedy
without filling it up again with rests?

That's how Speedy used to work, to leave a partially-filled measure as
is. But now it fills it with rests. Can this be turned off?

Speedy - speedy options - uncheck fill with rests (that works up to
Fin2012 - don't know about 2014)

Easy to miss, because it would be better placed in the first Speedy Entry
dialog window rather than hidden behind it in the options. At least it seems
so to me - it's such a basic and essential choice. Just an opinion.

I completely agree with Chuck. That's the primary reason I have the F9 key
programmed to toggle it on and off.

Now if we could just convince MM to re-input the Cancel button is the 'too many
beats' dialog, I would be a very happy man!!
