Re: [Fink-users] Selfupdate Problem

2010-02-03 Thread Tres Finocchiaro
A shot in the dark, but in the past, I've run into proxy issues caused by my
Netbeans. Not sure if Netbeans is your IDE or if this problem is even
remotely related (this one bug stemmed from framework that's not part of
j2me), but food for thought. Sometimes the IDE has proxy settings that
override the application and really mess up normal logic.

[Fink-users] Some good ubuntu feedback

2010-01-29 Thread Tres Finocchiaro
Hi,

I'm not an iPod owner, but I created a tutorial after helping a friend.

http://fatbuttlarry.blogspot.com/2010/01/ipod-touch-iphone-3g-ubuntu-910-in-5.html

There are several comments after the tutorial by users with issues related
to RythmBox and their iPods.

I'm not trying to unload these comments onto the mailing list, but rather
trying to ask for help.

The major issue is with the iPod 3G and the 3.1.2 firware. The page has had
~2,700 views since it was originally put up Jan 6th, and averages about 100
views a day, so anything I can put on there to help them out would be great.

If this is caused by a known bug with RythmBox then sorry! Any help is
appreciated.
