 Billy, On a clean Ubuntu install the deb should be the easiest method
 for installing http://matforge.org/fipy/downloader/download/release/16.


Inside of windows, virtualization would work, but perhaps also running linux
in windows with andlinux: http://www.andlinux.org/
Not sure, but easy to try.
