Let me answer last asked question - optimized out variables is normal practice, there is no criminal with them, they simply need not be stored permanently (temp in registers), therefore gdb can not show values of such variables. I do not want to guess any more: let's start with full stack trace for all threads - "thr app all bt" command in gdb. Hi, Last week a question was asked on firebird-java regarding a JVM crash on Linux when Firebird Embedded is used in combination with a UDF, but to be honest, I have no clue what to look for. I have been able to reproduce the crash (or possibly even two different crashes) with the application and basic UDF provided by the OP.
