Yes the Application is installed on every Client as all clients are Thick Clients. That shouldn't make any difference. Because, we have customers that have Firebird servers (Superserver) having over 40 active connections, using Win2003 Standard. When Firebird crashes, what is in Firebird's log file? Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but are you familiar with the concept of backup/restore? I am Familiar with the concept of Backup/Restore. Why? what has that got to do with this problem? Re: [Firebird-net-provider] FireBird Crashes when users log onto it using my .NET software
Now when ever more than 11 users log in simultaneously on FB the server crashes. The log file generated tell that cannot handle this many uses at a time. Even several 100 users should not crash a Firebird server. Is the application installed on every client machine, or are you running remote sessions? In spite of the fact that there is data worth only 300 MB but the file size does not seem to shrink down. Hello: I have developed a small software for archiving documents in FB. I am using FB 2.0 install as SuperServer and the latest stable version of .NET Provider. Now when ever more than 11 users log in simultaneously on FB the server crashes. The log file generated tell that cannot handle this many uses at a time. Where is the problem? Now when ever more than 11 users log in simultaneously on FB the server crashes. The log file generated tell that cannot handle this many uses at a time. Where is the problem? In the .NET Provider or in FB. The server on which FB is installed has got 2GB RAM and a 160 GB Hard Disk which partitioned in 4 equal size partitions. The partition where the DB is stored in second partition and the FDB file size is just 1 GB. In spite of the fact that there is data worth only 300 MB but the file size does not seem to shrink down.
