[Flashcoders] RE: slightly OT: Soundbooth for flv cuepoints
My experience was that Premiere CS3 did not export the cuepoints with the FLV - that was a bug. I had to use some of the free tools out there like RichFLV to add the cuepoints back into the FLV. Hmm... I was referring to Soundbooth CS3 and Media Encoder CS3. They both exported audio only flv files with cuepoints without issue. Now, with the CS5 versions, they fail to do that. A search online showed that I'm not the only one who has come across this issue. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/758885 The fix was using Premiere CS4, which did export the audio only flv with cues intact. - MM ___ Flashcoders mailing list Flashcoders@chattyfig.figleaf.com http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders
[Flashcoders] RE: slightly OT: Soundbooth for flv cuepoints
Yeah, Adobe historically seems to have a lot of issues with this. AfterEffects CS3 had the FLV cuepoint export problem as well, which drove me insane for about 2-3 days. Not sure, haven't tried it yet. AfterEffects CS5 is 64-bit only (Premiere also), so when we bought the Master Collection, we had to install CS4 versions instead. And I haven't tested cuepoints in those either, but hopefully by now the problem is fixed. RichFLV ( a free AIR app) was a lifesaver for me. [Flashcoders] Help with Image Slideshow - displaying random image
Many thanks to any and all who respond!! I'm at the extent of my AS skills. I'd like to make the following image slide show display like it does, sequentially, as well as making it display random. Anyone know how I can do that? I've included the code I have working now. Text and image are displaying fine. I've tried adding a ramdom order, but it breaks the image/description tie. Re: [Flashcoders] Help with Image Slideshow - displaying random image
If you want them to be random, take the xml as an array, and then do a random swap for each node. (I think someone posted some code for the proper way to shuffle an array.) then load the images in that order. \On 1/20/2011 12:44 PM, Anthony Pace wrote: It seems to be your listeners and the order of the Complete events. [Flashcoders] AS3 and business card reader/scanner
Hi all, My client wants to use a business card scanner/reader for a registration station. I'll be running a Flash app that uses a virtual keyboard for entry or their scanned card info to be sent to our database. I've search around and not had a lot of success in possible approaches. Has anyone done this before or has a suggestion of where to look for assistance/suggestions. We will be using Flash, either Access or a mySQL database and the database programmer does Visual Basic and ASP. So we are trying to find a usable solution betweens these two. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, John John R.
