Cool. I've never been before to anything like this. What sessions interest you?
I'm really torn on what to attend at some points. Such as Mario Klingemann or
Lee Brimelow on day one.

2010-09-20 Thread Cor
I go every year and also take a workshop on Sunday.
I have been to Lee's workshop and he is a good tutor!
As you know there are 3 flows simultaneously, so you always miss 2 of them.
:-)
And to be honest, all three are good, it is just a matter of personal
preference.
I like the codeheads.

Re: [Flashcoders] Flash On The Beach 2010

2010-09-20 Thread Glen Pike
I am not going this year, but have been to FOTB a couple of times and
think it's amazing.

My approach to choosing - as a coder - is to find stuff outside my
normal sphere of interest, so I tend to take in lots of creative stuff
and maybe catch up with some new tech things I might need in the near
future. My rationale is that I can look up the code online, but the
inspiration is harder to find ;)

I have not seen Lee Brimelow, but have seen 2 of Mario's sessions - the
first one blew me away and the second one was pretty good, but not as
amazing as the first.

In the end it's down to personal preference - go with your heart maybe
more than your head?

Thanks Glen. I come from a design background but now spend a lot of my time
coding. So I think I will go for a mix, coding/technical stuff to advance my
knowledge and more arty stuff to inspire me a bit.
Looking forward to it.

I heard many of the speakers proclaim it was the best conference they'd

I'm sure there'll be many people writing reports on the conference, so
I'll leave it to them :)
