Well done Chris and John!
The demos look great. I'm really looking forward to checking it out, and
hopefully using it in a project.

[Flashcoders] Red5 Flash Server 0.3 Release

2006-02-20 Thread Chris Allen
We would like to officially announce Red5 Flash Server version 0.3.
There are quite a few exciting new features with this release, some of
which include:

FLV Output Code
Audio / Video Recording
Live Stream Publishing
Shared Objects
Standalone Binary Package with Installer
Embedded Jetty Servlet Engine

Please vist http://www.osflash.org/red5/version.3_release for more
information and video demos of this new version.

We are planning on releasing a set of installers within the week for
Linux, Macintosh OS X, and Windows. There are still a few things to
finish up on them and we didn't want to delay the release because of
this. For now, feel free to compile it yourself with the source code
that can be found in our SVN repository at
http://svn1.cvsdude.com/osflash/red5/java/server/tags/0.3/

John and I would like to thank the core developer team, especially to
the new guys that have recently picked up some of the tasks that we
haven't yet finished.

Please let others in the community know what we are up to. Be sure to
read the docs for a list of known issues etc. If you have the time,
try out the new features and let us know if you run into problems.
This version is still not production worthy, but it does contain some
of the core functionality that we are very excited about.

Thanks in advance for checking out the Red5 project if you haven't already.
