I would look on msdn.microsoft.com/library under Win32 and COM Development - XML - MSXML - MSXML 4.0 SDK - XML Standards Reference - XPath Reference. It's an excellent reference for XPath 1.0 and 2.0. There's nothing different about MSFT's XPath implementation other than their specific extensions which you wouldn't use anyway.
