Re: [flexbackup-help] Backup to a remote directory?
Quoting TeckniX loki...@gmail.com: What's the format of your external directory? ext3 How is windows seeing that directory? It's capable of seeing it over samba but because it's removable, this is not very suitable. I was actually hoping it could be accessed in the manner of sshfs. It is important that the Windows box releases the directory soon after stopping using it, without user intervention. -- Phil Reynolds mail: phil-flexbac...@tinsleyviaduct.com Web: http://www.tinsleyviaduct.com/phil/ Waltham 66, Emley Moor 69, Droitwich 79, Windows 95 This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. -- ___ flexbackup-help mailing list flexbackup-help@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/flexbackup-help

Is it possible for flexbackup to include the hostname in the filename when backing up a local filesystem? [flexbackup-help] Exit codes
I am looking to add additional automated processing after backups, but need to clarify the exit codes used by flexbackup. What exit codes does it use in the following circumstances: Wrong wday (looks like 0 to me) Normal completion Others? [flexbackup-help] ssh failing when flexbackup runs from crontab
I replaced this machine a few weeks ago with a totally new build. I have tried to re-enable automated backups but they only work for the local machine. Trying to ssh into the other machines logs Permission denied. This does not happen if I run flexbackup from the command line. How do I make this work? [flexbackup-help] If a backup fails...
In the event of a backup failing (because the machine being backed up crashes during the process), am I right in thinking that /var/lib/flexbackup on the host where flexbackup is run is where details of the level and time are kept? Would deleting the last stamp for the affected partition in there be the right way to make the next incremental backup the same level as the failed one?
