Couldn't get it to work with CSS in a quick test with an external jpg.
Inline Filters, however, do work. Check it:

Has anyone come up with a tidy way of getting a drop shadow on an image?
I've been mucking around wraping it in a canvas or a VBox/HBox, but
nothing working nice yet. :-(
