That is a very good question. I knew it because I have been reading all the posts on Flexcoders for almost two years. But I have never seen it documented (never looked to be fair). Declare a property in your mxml like this: mx:String id=strContextRoot@ContextRoot()/mx:String Now, in AS code you can use strContextRoot in your path.
