The designer has a program to make the conversion (not sure which one). I guess we'll have to take that path. But I still like the idea of using a FlashType font and don't understand why I can't get it to work (with any font type). The steps in the help docs are quite specific. So I don't understand why I can't get it to work. If it's a bug then I want to report it. If it's me then I'd like to find the solution. Bill Lane

There's a bug in the current beta. FlashType rendering only works if you set the antiAliasType property to advanced and the gridFitType to pixel on the TextField where you want to use FlashType rendering. You'll have to transform your opentype to true type.
