Re: [flexcoders] perl and AMF

Yeah, we're currently using XML, but believe we'd gain some benefit
from transferring data in binary format.

All our existing back-end is written in perl. The idea of implementing
a whole new infrastructure doesn't really thrill anyone.

Anyone else got any advice?

What's Perl?

Just kidding :P I haven't seen any, but I haven't used perl in a
number of years. I don't think you're going to have much luck in all
honesty. Are you stuck with perl because of existing systems? Also
are you stuck with AMF? I personally love using XML as a transport,
because I've already had to have my backend provide data to
both .NET and C++ clients. Having it in XML made it easy.

Thanks,
Deane

I can't find a complete implementation that isn't fairly ancient, but
perhaps i'm looking in the wrong places...
