Abdul’s right, depends what you change in the flex-config.xml but I think for the most part a change to flex-config is probably meant to affect the SWF unless you’re only changing the whitelist for one of the proxies. So I’d generally re-compile. It’s not like flex-config needs to change that often once it’s set up correctly. Any changes to backend logic (POJO, EJB) doesn't require flex app recompilation, unless you have use Model/XML tag to fetch data from backend.
