[Flightgear-devel] Third call for participation in our survey!

2002-12-08 Thread Thies, Sandra
Dear FlightGear developers,

I would like to kindly ask you again to participate in our survey

I do not want to bother you, really, - maybe there are currently not more than twenty
people actively involved in developing for the FlightGear project.

But, unfortunately, not more than 20 persons did answer our survey.

I am aware of the voluntary work and time you all do dedicate to FlightGear which has
currently been invested in the new release version of FlighGear.
Congratulations! :-)

But, if you can, please help to make this survey a success and support me with my
master thesis which is part of this research project.

It is completely non-profit.

Due to the survey addressing not only OS dveleoped software, some of the questions,
unfortunately, do not specifically point at your project.

I do regret that, yet it is the focus of my main research question:
what motivates (user-)developers of software to freely reveal their work or rather
keep it to themselves?

For I especially lack answers from developers for FlightGear: all of you who are
contributing to it, once again: Please help, if you can and fill in the questionnaire
- in case you have not already taken part in the survey!

Here is the questionnaire:
http://www.inno-tec.de/simulator/questionnaire_382752.htm

(There is a little lottery with it :-)!)

Thank you for participating!

Best,
Sandra Thies

[Flightgear-devel] Research project in user communities of flight simulators

2002-12-04 Thread Thies, Sandra
Dear FlightGear fans developers,

This is a short reminder to fill in our questionnaire :-).
The University of Munich currently undertakes a research project on flight simulators.
It’s about users, and in particular (but not only) about users who develop their own
add-ons and contributions for FlightGear.

The project is purely non-profit and academic, there is no company involved.
There is a little lottery among the participants.

Here’s the questionnaire:
http://www.inno-tec.de/simulator/questionnaire_382752.htm

Thank you for participating!

Best regards,
Dr. Joachim Henkel
