work and too far off topic to really pursue.

Speaking of which, is anybody still working on replacing the non-GPL
sun/moon azimuth calculations to properly model the color of them?

I've done some of it. Not sure about the 'color' bit, I'm just working

No worries, the color will follow once the azimuth is set correct.

on taking out the xearth astronomy routines (which are largely
inappropriate anyway) and replacing with straight boring math from the
likes of Peter Duffett-Smith's book.

I've just been overworked for the last month and haven't made any recent
headway, that's all.

Ok, no problem. I just wanted to know the status.
Thanks.

Are you referring to the sun/moon's color here?

Sounds good. I understood that Steve was looking into that and that's when I
decided not to look into it any further.

Yes, and the derived sky color.

There will be an eclipse tomorrow, and I was just wonder whether FlightGear
has this modelled.

It should do as FlightGear models the path of both the sun and the moon
across the sky.

But as for the darkening of the sky and the like, I'm not sure.

George

You mean an eclipse of the Sun. I prefer seeing the eclipse of the moon
