Re: [Flightgear-devel] How to compile Terragear-cs ?

2012-01-02 Thread Clément de l'Hamaide

Hi all,

(1) Yes Geoff, as you said : this is a compromise. And I thinks the good
compromise is to keep the same way as used in Brisa script. Many people are
accustomed with Brisa script and I want my script is very similar to Brisa
script in order to don't change accustomed of people. My script and Brisa
script need to be homogen.
Moreover, with this technique I have successfully debugged my script... so it
seem this technique give enough information if someone had a problem.

Thank you very much for your explanation : it's very usefull ! Now I understand
what is the set -e that I have copy/paste from Brisa script ;)

(2) About NO_OPENSCENEGRAPH_INTERFACE I'm sure to use SIMGEAR_HEADLESS
because the CMakeLists contains this :

Line 64 :
option(SIMGEAR_HEADLESS Set to ON to build SimGear without GUI/graphics
support OFF)

Line 116 :
if(SIMGEAR_HEADLESS)
message(STATUS headless mode)
set(NO_OPENSCENEGRAPH_INTERFACE 1)

And about TerraGear-CS the CMakeLists contains this :

Line 114 :
set(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS ${CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS} ${WARNING_FLAGS} ${MSVC_FLAGS}
-D_REENTRANT -DNO_OPENSCENEGRAPH_INTERFACE)

(3) Yes my script switch automatically on newconstruct branch in order to use
genapt850 ;)
Also I have a question about genapt850 : Airport (runway, taxiway, parking...)
are create by TaxiDraw, but have I need a special version of TaxiDraw to
generate an apt.dat in version 850 ? Or TaxiDraw version is not important ?

Cheers,
Clément

Re: [Flightgear-devel] How to compile Terragear-cs ?

2012-01-01 Thread Clément de l'Hamaide

Hi Pete, Geoff,

Now my script work perfectly.

When I remove all 21 | tee -a $LOGFILE and I replace it by a simple
$LOGFILE I see many less information in terminal when script is running. It's
very annoying to haven't information about step in terminal...
For example, when the script downloading OSG from SVN there is nothing written
in terminal... I wait during some minute without know if my script is running.
Before, with 21 | tee -a $LOGFILE I could see all downloading files in
real time.

(1) Have you an other solution about 2$1 | tee -a $LOGFILE ? (Or may be
re-explain me again with an example)

(2) Is it possible to use 2$1 | tee -a $LOGFILE at least for write a simple
text in terminal AND in Log File ? (For exemple : echo
 | tee -a $LOGFILE seem to be not
dangerous and can't create fatal error)

About -DNO_OPENSCENEGRAPH_INTERFACE=1, I saw in CMakeLists.txt (from SIMGEAR
repository) the option SIMGEAR_HEADLESS. I think it would be better to use
this option to specify without GUI. TerraGear already use this option in the
CMakeLists.txt at line 114 (in TERRAGEAGR-CS repository)

I've added -D SIMGEAR_HEADLESS=ON and now I have a -- headless mode ;)

You can follow the thread on forum where I announce what I do :
http://www.flightgear.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20t=14849
I've added TerraGear GUI compilation and automatic fill of TerraGear Root field
in TerraGear GUI.

If you find something unusual or strange your experience is welcome !

Cheers,
Clément

[Flightgear-devel] How to compile Terragear-cs ?

2011-12-30 Thread Clément de l'Hamaide

Hi all,

I would like to contribute to airports/sceneries. I'm young real pilot and I
like to remake the airport where I fly in real life.
I've seen that many people have many problem to compile TerraGear. This is why
I started to create a similar download_and_install script than brisa script
but for TerraGear.

I need some help from someone who have a better know than me about TerraGear.
I have asked help on IRC but nobody can help me. I have create a thread on US
forums and at the moment I have no answer.
I've seen some people works with TerraGear (apt850, improve scenery...) if
these people can help me to finalize my script then I can diffuse it and I'm
sure many people become contributors with this simple script.

You can see my thread here :
http://www.flightgear.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20t=14849 (include my script
and my compilation log)

Hoping someone can help me. I think this script will be a good way to
facilitate people to contribute to airports and sceneries.

Little precision : I have read all wiki page about terragear and all README
file in each section (README.newmat, README.gpc, README) So please don't
say me look on wiki ! or read the README file ! ;)

Cheers,
Clément

[Flightgear-devel] [FGMAP] Request icon update

2011-11-06 Thread Clément de l'Hamaide

Hi all,

Here is my first mail to the Flightgear-devel mailing list :)
My first contribution is to ask an update on FGMAP project. I hope I use the
good mailing list.
Can you change the icon of the Robinson Raven II R44 ? Currently it use an
aircraft icon, but the Raven is an heli ;)
This is the new line to put in fgmap.js :
var FGMAP_CRAFT_MODELS_HELI = [ bo105, sikorsky76c, ec135, r22, s76c,
Lynx-WG13, S51-sikorsky, CH47, R22, apache-model, uh-1, uh60,
OH-1, raven, clipper ];(clipper is the amphibious version of the
raven)

I have an other request : I participe to the Douglas DC-3 C47 developement and
we would like to have our icon on MPMAP.
I have create the red 40x40 icon available here :
http://i49.servimg.com/u/f49/16/09/76/33/shadow10.png
This is the new line to put in fgmap.js :
var FGMAP_CRAFT_ICON_DOUGLAS = douglas/dc3;
var FGMAP_CRAFT_MODELS_DOUGLAS = [ dc-3, dc-3-copilot, dc-3-psg1,
dc-3-psg2, dc-3-psg3, dc-3-psg4, dc-3A ];Thanks in advance,
