[Flightgear-devel] Res: segmentation fault
Hi, I solve the problem with plib (removed v1.84 already instaled), but now i`m getting segmentation fault when run flightgear. I think the problem is with data (fg can`t find models) but i make checkout with the lastest data. I get 2 different dump, first with carrier enable so i disable carrier and get a another dump. Fred, Tks for reply, but like i say, i have the lasted plib from CVS (1.8.5). I get from CVS plib, osg, simgear and flightgear, all updated together. I check for include dir, and see that osg, simgear and flightgear headers are under /usr/local/include, so i make syslink for /usr/include/plib-/usr/local/include/plib. But it even fails. Yes, SBGL is in APT.DAT but the FIX around is not in FIX.DAT ( Like FICO, PERES ) And there duplicates entries in X-Plane data too, i have send mail for Robin check it, but FIX of around SBGL airport is in X-Plane but not in Flightgear. Short of errors or oversights on the part of Robin Peel, his (thus X-Plane's and in turn our) navaids data does reflect this accurately. Also SBGL Galeão Antonio Carlos Jombim is to be found in apt.dat.gz and looks alright to me. Hi, AFAIK the fgfs navaids files have been converted from X-plane data files, but alas, years ago and therefore they are outdated. Hi, I have trace same routes using waypoints and find many duplicates entries in FIX Data ( like LEPAS, HARDY ) with different coordinates, thats is correct ? Hello, Me and my friends having several lags when using FG in multiplayer mode, because low internet speed(dial-up connection) or fully network usage(occurs for me even network usage is 90% or above) . I believe this is in the procedure for send/receive position and aircraft data. This cannot be solved using asynchronous procedures ? Or there any plan to
make this asynchronous ? With this, the lag occurs only in the server and the
user will not affected by this.

Curtis, The problem is about Frame delay, but in stand-alone mode i have not lags even when aircraft is near to land. Because this i suppose the problem with frame delay is on the server, maybe by user number (27 at critical time). If the problem occur by the new users, why this not occurs for load scenery in stand-alone ? because aircraft 3D model is more heavy then scenery ??. Regards, Cleber Santz. If you are talking about position lags and not frame rate lags, then I believe the MP server builds in about a 10 second buffer delay to try to prevent buffer starvation and show continuous motion on the client side. Frame rate delays are typically caused by someone entering the MP system requiring all the participant systems to load the corresponding 3d model.
