FLUXLIST: Re: What FLUXLIST poetry compilation?

2001-12-05 Thread Roger Stevens

Perhaps Reed is referring to this:

After the success of Fluxlist's Happy New Ears
a collection of Fluxus inspired poetry
we decided to do a second -
with not only poetry but any creative writing (event scores, etc)
inspired by Fluxus.

I am the compiler of the new work
Unfortunately my hard drive exploded and I lost everything
that was on my computer, including all fluxy entries so far.
(sorry, Reed and everyone who sent things)

So -
I am extending the deadline to
JUNE 1st 2002
and requesting you re-send entries
or just send new stuff.
The physical manifestation of this project will be a book
11 1/2 inches X 4 1/4 (A4)
and hopefully there will be a web version too.

Perhaps someone could remind everyone of the current web address
of Happy New Ears as I've lost that too.

Needless to say, I am now regularly backing up my files.

Yours in Flux

Roger

The CD title outshines it's content? I'm still intrigued.

Interestingly enough, I virus scanned my entire computer and

Possibly didn't mention that I'm in Nutscape too. I didn't
receive an attachment - just an empty message that created
curiosities. A computer scan over here didn't gain anything
either.

FLUXLIST: Rock and Roll

2001-12-05 Thread allen bukoff

Got to see the special Lennon His Life and Work exhibit at Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, last Sunday. Of most interest
to this list: in the first display...a wall of 6-inch holes containing
various objects (e.g., Lennon's wire rim glasses, his Patek Philippe watch,
photos, notes)...there was a nicely posed smiling photo of John, Yoko, and
baby Sean with George Maciunas. It was taken at Maciunas's farm in New
Marlborough, Massachusetts outside in winter (I think the date said
1977). John Lenonn was wearing a lynx fur jacket and Maciunas was dressed
in a buttoned-up green military uniform. I have never seen this picture
anywhere else before and it is, unfortunately, not reproduced in the
catalog that accompanies the exhibit (or I would scan it and pass it
along). Yoko had inscribed the picture and identified Maciunas as being
the leader of Fluxus.

Yoko also had a wishing-tree installation near the entrance to the
museum. You were invited to write a wish on a blank white price tag and
hang it on one of the trees. One of the tags said I wish Yoko would stop
doing conceptual art.

2001-12-05 Thread Roger Stevens

yes, it is
and
I'm working on a common-sense approach
two or three poems or pieces taking up two or three
pages is great
several hundred are way too many...

so your saying the content is open-ended? how many poems can you send?
