Since my computer is my work machine , plain text is simply safer - less chances of virii and spoofs - what you see is what you get. I will never use HTML-mail and I increasingly get business correspondance that say they don't accept it either. I dont know which platform Fluxlist is running on, but it might be configured so that HTML is disabled and stripped off [at least for the digest] AND mail from people who overquote bounced back to them this is what the digest looked like to me today. I, too, think email sent to FluxList should be text only. I get a lot of HTML junk in my daily digests, and also a lot of repeated text sent in replies. Both of these make reading FluxList more of a chore than the useful fun it should be. -Josh Ronsen in Austin, Texas Need a new email address that people can remember Check out the new EudoraMail at http://www.eudoramail.com

FLUXLIST: No HTML, please .... and don't resend digests
Oi! Fluxlist Subscribers, All eight members of Secret Fluxus support Allen Bukoff's request. Please don't clutter the list with HTML. If you set your preferences to 'plain text only', the result will be a list more in keeping with the clean typography that made Fluxus and Something Else Press publications so enjoyable. We also request that list members take care in using the 'reply' button. There is no need to read posts the second time or more, especially not reading entire digests when people fail to edit. We don't often agree unanimously on anything, but we all agree on this. Printing out and copying Fluxlist for our regular meetings can be a real pain, and no one wants to edit what list members should edit for themselves.
