FLUXLIST: Scrawlphabet

2004-07-19 Thread John M. Bennett
The font for Johnee's Scrawlphabet is available for free download - at
least as a test to see if it works - This is my scrawl handwriting as a
complete True Type font, available for Windows or Mac. Check it out at:

http://johnmbennett.net/Luna_Bisonte_Prods_Catalog.html
The font was created by Jim Wiese, to whom I owe many thanks indeed! It is
a compressed file, and you'll need Stuffit to uncompress it. You can get
a free Stuffit if you need it by searching stuffit on the net.

Enjoy! And let me know how it works (and send me the results!)

2004-07-19 Thread allen bukoff
So I was at a vintage race-car weekend at a race track in Wisconsin last weekend.
Racing and race cars are pretty much the opposite of Fluxus in my own subjective
topology of experiences...but there it was, hanging there, for sale in a vendor's
booth: a little fluxus-like joke (from roughly the same era as the original Fluxus).
Novelties, fluxus, humor, retail-like objects/games. Find it for yourself at

Thansk Crispin for sharing this link with us. We
enjoyed the hats flick very much and it reminded us
of the one our son Archie made recenly with Flash
which he's gotten into in a big way . He makes at
least one 10-20 second masterpiece each evening after
school! he was very taken with the silly films here
and they reminded me of the Running, Jumping and
Standing Still film that Richard lester made with
the Goons before he hooked up with the Beatles.
Shame the web links didnt seem to work?

Don - You have furnaces really? or is this a word game ... missed the beginning of this conversation, but want to know! I have spent the last year working on the hotfloor at a glass factory, and want to start up making small glass peices (probablyfused jewellery in a very small very sissyish kiln!). Love the website, but what are the leather things? I am fascinated, as i lost all sense of scale looking at the pics. are they wrapped items? Cheers, z
