RE: FLUXLIST: What's happened to...
Dear Candice, Crispin is busy these days and doesn't do much email so I'm taking the liberty to answer for him. He is enrolled at Milton Avery in an MFA program and is also trying to get into Ohio State in a related program and also working full-time. He answers his mail intermittently. (He is also finishing up mailing out Fluxbox II) -Don http://www.doneboyd.com check out my website for the latest images!

Re: FLUXLIST: RE:FLUXLISTRe: Stewart Home/BEN VAUTIER on dada!
Candace: I would be glad to copy the chapters and mail to you--they are indded short-- also someone else had asked at one point if icd send them these? i think it was crispin? please le tme know-- wd be glad to share -- thought if we bagn a discussion re someting wd be a good moving onwo/ards frm the recent fluxlist happenings-- what i really liked fluxlist for when i first started on it in 1996 was that through time there were shared proejcsts to work on--and pople exchanged ideas and infformation regarding the sues of different kinds of methods and materils--i recal people genrously wqriting re a query i had with making transfers --leanred so much! and senidng s of them back and forth--through time now the books, web istes, cd etc that have been done by fulxist--this side ofit greatly had been partof my life when ifrist joined there were stil eric anderson, ken friedman and dick higgins on baord. there were some nast times with arugments re events form the past--not from dick, who was always generous-- princess petal of course iluiminated much that occured--and are the sisteres so called stil here--melissa and amy baylaurel?-- the Stweart Home i enjoyed as is his version of Fluxus, and interesting to read form a different perspective--he does place emphasis oon two things it began from musicains and it was/is apolitical--which for the time period was different--(thre 1960-70s; many other "isimjs" were like wise apolitical but via theri theories often had pretensions to the politicial--) i was much saddned that allen left due to lack of attention form the older fluxpeople--and disapointed that they never contacted allen--it is a very strange thing indeed when the gods, or Goddesses--do not answer-- what is most improtant is that the spirit lives on and is manifested via activities, projects for my sip today is very strong black coffe--the mug i have is so large, i dropped a peice of paper in to watch it float about and called it the drunken boat sip for m. rimabud-- next i wil do a vortex/,maelstrom one for m. poe-- later a melville one, a Joanh one, an ancent mariner one and so forth-- onwo/ards! davbid-bc From: Reid Wood [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: FLUXLIST@scribble.com To: FLUXLIST@scribble.com Subject: Re: FLUXLIST: RE:FLUXLISTRe: Stewart Home/BEN VAUTIER on dada! Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2005 20:05:04 -0500 The chapters in the Assault On Culture are pretty short - you could read bits at a time. You do need to be able to focus on them, because there is a lot packed into each one. Any suggestions as to how I can fit a Stewart Home reading into my time at...uhhh...home? Sounds interesting, and as far as I know, I have not read any of it. -c. Send email straight to your blog. D-B C - I would be glad to copy the chapters and mail to you--they are indded short-- also someone else had asked at one point if icd send them these? i think it was crispin? I think it was Crispin too. If it's not too much trouble it would be great to get a copy. I can't locate it anywhere. If my children could read I would take Michael Leigh's suggestion, but perhaps it can be incorporated into our bedtime stories... I am game for any ideas surrounding reading/discussions/participations. i was much saddned that allen left due to lack of attention form the older fluxpeople--and disapointed that they never contacted allen--it is a very strange thing indeed when the gods, or Goddesses--do not answer-- I missed most of what led up to Allen's departure, so I am a guilty party. As sad as it is to have him his wealth of information gone, there is genius behind it. I admire him for it. Today I sipped VitaminWater, SmartWater, and H20. I don't feel any healthier or smarter. But my day began with a suicide-by-hanging outside my place of work. This day could not be any stranger if I drank Arsenic Old Lace with a Schlitz chaser. -Candace.
