A veritable warzone...over music discussions? Isn't the latter
supposed to calm the savage beast

i agree, patricia. and worse is that the most vocal opposition comes from
the most prolific of abusers. at least record and book collecting can have
/some/ relation to fluxus. much of these posts is just virtual masturbation.

'course now i'm guilty of contributin' to the battle.

My goodness, I'm working through these fluxllist emails I've received in my
absence and it would seem hackles are raised throughout. Stands are being

supposed to calm the savage beast? Perhaps I should bring back the savage
three eyed fluxbunny, with sound this time.although rabbits, I've heard
don't emit sound until they die...but then fluxbunny is evolved.

And, well, life is art, ergo music.

But I really don't know how to answer "what is fluxlist."

I think it's a place
where artists, critics and fans of Fluxus
chat about the Fluxus art movement and the various artistic and cultural
strands
that led to it and emanate from it
as well as talking about anything else that takes their fancy
sometimes art related (what isn't?) and sometimes not
(what is?)

Re - Reed and Heiko

I agree that the fluxlist is becoming heavily pop/rock/jazz music oriented
but I don't really mind
I liken it to getting together with a group of friends in a pub or
restaurant
to talk about art and Fluxus
You wouldn't ONLY talk about that, would you?
You'd chat about all sorts of things
music, books, God's Birthday, the context of context, daterape and the
Easter Bunny's third eye...

Maybe I'll skip the dessert this time
and have a ...

ahhh, Reed
Given up smoking - Well done!
