Hi: Thanks for the response, I forgot to make clear that the creation of the .fo is automated, I and applying the XSL to XML and transform it to a .fo file to be passed to the renderers. It seems that my entity references are not being escaped. When I produce the .fo through a transformation my entity references are not being escaped, when I hand in the XSL, and XML to the renderer, and allow the renderer to do the transformation it is producing the desire output with out any issues.
