Do you mean the highlighter for PHP code? I'm only using CPP highlighter because
I'm C/C++ software developer. My strong feeling is, it has something to do with

'else' and curly brackets {}, because the garbage is either (in my case) after a
closing } or where an 'else' is.

It's on my priority list, but I don't have point to start.
My suspicioun is on the PHP highlighter.
I changed memory manager in current 5.0.4 build, I am trying to find memory
leaks.

But if the problem occurs in page drawing + folowed actions like highlight all
selections e.t.c. it's very hard to find it.
