Context-sensitive read/write rules
Hello, I am exporting FrameMaker to XML using a custom structured application and need to figure out how to do the following using read-write rules only (not XSLT): always rename the FrameMaker element Number to Step, and additionlly if Number has parent NumberConfig add an attribute called configged (to Step) while unwrapping NumberConfig. Is this even possible? From reading the Read/Write Rules Reference, I don't see how to do the context-sensitive part. Thanks in advance ... - Amir ___ You are currently subscribed to Framers as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send list messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or visit http://lists.frameusers.com/mailman/options/framers/archive%40mail-archive.com Send administrative questions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit http://www.frameusers.com/ for more resources and info.
Training in Structured FrameMaker
I am looking for a training outfit close to Columbus, Ohio, who offers training in Structured FrameMaker. I currently use FM 7.0 and WebWorks 9.2 to generate MS HTML Help but would like to learn more about Structured Frame and XML and DITA. I have poked around enough to get a general sense of what DITA is all about but still don't know enough to decide if I should direct future publishing efforts in that direction. I am assuming that Structured FrameMaker training would be a good start?? Thanks! RE: Conversion of Frame 7.0 docs [using Frame 8.0] into PDF
This issue has NEVER had anything to do with Acrobat. - Dov -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:framers- [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Alan Houser Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2007 1:28 PM To: jeanbaptiste ouedraogo Cc: framers@lists.frameusers.com Subject: Re: Conversion of Frame 7.0 docs [using Frame 8.0] into PDF I run into this regularly as an effect of the dreaded fntcache.dat bug. To work-around, delete the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\FNTCACHE.DAT (XP) and restart Windows. I need to do this every few days. Adobe released an Acrobat 8 update on 22 October, but I don't see this bug listed among the fixed problems. -Alan jeanbaptiste ouedraogo wrote: I have Frame v8.0 installed on my PC. When I open Frame 7.0 docs using the Frame 8.0 software and thereafter attempt to convert them into PDF, I encounter an internal error message [as stated below] and after which the Frame 8.0 automatically closes. The internal error message is Internal Error 8004, 7744902, 7026295, 7005868. Framemaker has detected a serious problem and must quit. If anyone has encountered such a scenario and knows a workaround solution, please let me know. Thanks Regards. Word to Frame Conversions - again
I have reviewed the posts in the archives and am studying Tim Murray's paper, Converting Between Word and Frame. It is really nice to have this detailed info, but just reading it makes me tired. I'm looking for a more automated approach, as my client needs to have quite a few files converted, and may need to perform this conversion periodically in the future. So far, my favorite option would be to buy FrameScript and a custom script from Rick Quatro. But I feel that I should investigate all options. I don't find any discussion in the archives regarding Filtrix (by Blueberry Software). Has anyone used it? Thanks for sharing your experience (again) and opinions. - Carol _ Peek-a-boo FREE Tricks Treats for You! http://www.reallivemoms.com?ocid=TXT_TAGHMloc=us___ You are currently subscribed to Framers as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send list messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or visit http://lists.frameusers.com/mailman/options/framers/archive%40mail-archive.com Send administrative questions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit http://www.frameusers.com/ for more resources and info.
