Confluence 4 export: the one feature that would justify my upgrading from FM10

If Confluence 4 uses XHTML, it seems like you could use WebWorks since that certainly outputs XHTML. Export would allow me to put drafts on the wiki for review, comment, and revision. Import would allow me to bring such revisions back into FrameMaker for release. It would also allow me to import drafts of new documents written by SMEs. (WebWorks ePublisher can publish FrameMaker docs to Confluence 3, but it doesn't work well enough with Confluence 4, which uses XHTML instead of wiki markup.) ___

For those interested, the list update has been completed. Jeremy Griffith is kindly hosting it on his site, and you can find it here: http://mif2go.com/framemaker-resources If you can't get to the web site, contact me off-list and I'll email you directly. Don't forget Scott Prentice's Tool Search, which will also give you information on FrameScripts. http://leximation.com/toolsearch/ There are two lists this time through; one sorted by the name of the utility/plugin and one sorted by the supplier. I've also added a table for plugins that are, as far as I can determine, no longer publicly available. Corrections, additions, deletions, etc., are welcome. -- Lin Sims

Re: Japan translation and dtp
Jacob, Hello. For the Japanese DTP, I recommend that you use the following fonts: Kozuka Mincho Pro (KozMinPro) (for the substitution of serif font) Kozuka Gothic Pro (KozGoPro) (for the substitution of sans-serif font) These fonts may be included in the font set of the Acrobat Pro, so you may have already installed them, and you can embed them to the PDF. I use the FrameMaker in my office only and I'm in my home now, so I cannot advise about the detailed settings for the Japanese composition (Kumihan). But if you have any questions, please post them to this ML.
