Who knew Frame was obsessed with mainboards.
Even my feeble math tells me that those 32757 or so days amount to 89
years plus. I am inclined to take the offer. When it expires, I'll have
to upgrade to Frame 2104, of course. I hope someone'll keep a tab of the
version differences. And I will be needing a manual in pdf, probably
Distillered on version CXXXIII. Don't forget to embed the fonts.

Cheers,
Mike

Re: [Framers] Running H/F variable challenge

2016-03-19 Thread Pat Christenson
Hi Grant –

I tried that and it was ignored in the header as well.

Looks like I’m going with 3 thin spaces. They produce the right amount of space
and work in text and header.

Thanks, everyone.

Have you tried including a space between the building blocks in the two
variables in the Running H/F variable definition? In other words, either a
regular space or a non-breaking space (typed with a backslash preceding the
space) between the > and the <.

I need a Running H/F variable to work as follows:

If there's a Heading2, pull the text (such as Overview). If there's an exercise
head, pull the exercise number and the text. Heading2 paras don't have an
autonumber. Exercises number like this: Exercise\ : (with a space after the
colon)

So the Running H/F variable should read either Overview or Exercise 2: Create a
data point

I've defined the variable as
<$paranum[Exercise,Heading2><$paratext[Exercise,Heading2]>

It works perfectly except for one thing. I can't get the space after the colon
in the autonumber to appear in the header. Instead, it looks like this:
Exercise 2:Create a data point

I've tried using a non-breaking space after the colon in the autonumber but
that doesn't work either.

Help is appreciated.

2016-03-19 Thread Heiko Haida

Hi Pat,

you are right, a regular space is discarded, which seems to be a bug. FM
2015 works well with a non-breaking space ("\ "), though...

You might try other spaces like en-space ("\sn") or em-space ("\sm").
