Archive Plug-in - "No documents found in current book"
Hi FrameMaker Enthusiasts, I've got a coworker who is trying to archive a FrameMaker book, however, during mid-archive, they receive the message "No documents found in current book." However, there are plenty of files within the book that exist in its directory. The Archive plug-in log has the following, and only the following: " FrameMaker version 7.1 Archive Plugin version 2.5 Archiving book: umEforms.book \\srv\...\umEforms.book Copying to: \\Srv-i\...\umEforms\umEforms.book " (Ellipses indicate shortened length of real location of files.) Thoughts as to why this is not archiving or recognizing the other files in the book? Thanks, Judie - CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This message and any attached documents may contain confidential information from Hyland Software, Inc. RE: Graphics that are too large
Yes, I considered the table usage soon after I wrote that comment. What I am trying to achieve is much like the set-up in a Flash MX manual I've been looking through. I like the use of two column text, though I think the headers need to be defined more. I've found a problem with graphics we have that are too large to fit into one side of the column, so I wanted it to span the width of the page at the bottom. So this is kind of like an upside down T structure where the left column is text, the right column is figures, and the bottom of the page (when needed) is reserved for large screenshots, a table, or possibly text that may have a short story to enhance upon and related to the material covered. I'm not new to using FrameMaker, but I'm new to actually creating styles and templates, and am trying to figure out my boundaries of what is feasible and what is not. Thanks so much for your input and to everyone else who's contributed to my FrameMaker knowledge! :) Judie -Original Message- From: Art Campbell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, June 18, 2007 1:22 PM To: Judie Vegh Cc: framers@lists.frameusers.com Subject: Re: Graphics that are too large It'd be much easier to import the screen shots into anchored frames and set the frames to span both columns (what I'd recommend) and/or to go to the bottom of the page... RE: Graphics that are too large
Doug and Art, Thanks so much for your responses, I will try these methods out and see what works best for my situation. As a follow up to this, would it be possible if I wanted text to expand across both columns at the bottom of the page? Say, instead of adding in a graphic to explain my steps, I'd like to add in a text box with some information relevant to the text/steps that are in the two columns? Would that then require a different master page? Deleted empty pages still reappear after updating the book
Hello Framers! I've recently been updating FrameMaker books that have been handed down to me. At the end of some chapters, there is a blank page. To rid the book of these blank pages, I select Format Page Layout Pagination, and then Delete Empty Pages in the Before Saving Printing drop-down select list. However, once I update the book, the empty page is regenerated. Why is this? Is there a problem with the template, or is FrameMaker notorious for generating blank pages after updating?
