Thank you, Robert Lauriston! At first, Windows wouldn't cooperate because it thought there wasn't enough space on the virtual disk. I gave it more space (though it seemed counter-intuitive), and the trial FM2019 did uninstall using the Control Panel Uninstall action. Yay! Is there an entry for FrameMaker in the Add/Remove Programs control panel? If so, try to uninstall using that. Trial version was installed onto the VM too I take it? So maybe your profile was replaced with the trial version. I suggest you get a chat session going with an Adobe tech and sit back and get comfortable.
