Re: Mif2Go, DITA2Go, uDoc2Go: now open source
Thank you Carolyn, I am saddened to hear that a stalwart of the FM community has closed and I hope that everyone attached is able to find a place quickly. Transferring the source code to open source is a tremendous gift and I am grateful for the work that the team have put into it. I am certain it has not been all plain sailing (these things rarely ever are). The continuing transition may take some time. As a long time user and supporter of the products, I would like to help as I am able to. As Jeremy Griffith wished, source code will be made available for all three software tools. Scott Prentice has very kindly agreed to set up projects for this purpose on SourceForge. Scott has already set up a list as a gathering place for people interested in helping with maintenance and development, so we can communicate in preparation for the move to SourceForge. For example, we might discuss whether to use SVN or GIT. Re: Mif2Go, DITA2Go, uDoc2Go: now open source
Warmest thanks to all involved! I used Mif2Go a lot with my FM7 but never had the excuse to spend money on my FM10 so this is a great gift indeed! Indeed, yes! Thanks, Carolyn and Scott ... and thanks, Jeremy. It is Most Excellent to see that he chose to release the source code to the world. I look forward to the continued support of MIF2Go and helping with it if and when I can. Z ___ You are currently subscribed to framers as arch...@mail-archive.com.
