Re: [Frameworks] Bolex animation Motor

Guillaume,

I'll be listing a Tobin TTL motor at eBay in a week or two. I've got two of
them and don't need both.

  Thank you for the advices.

I heard about the Tobin motors but on the website I found:
NOTE: All Tobin movie camera motors, speed controllers and the like are
discontinued. Our former dealers may still have limited supplies on hand
Does anybody have a contact to clive Tobin? I wrote at : Film to DVD @
Comcast.net, (only adress i found on the Website)

Roger, where did you get your Timeflow motors? the Revolution Motor is made
from the same Company, http://www.intervalometers.com/rev/bolex/ , But I can t
reach them by phone (answer machine) nor by email...

does anybody know some shops/dealers where I could try to find discontinued
products? ebay isn't very helpfull in this regard-

  best,

  Guillaume.

2013-12-01 Thread Huckleberry Lain
Is there any place to rent 16mm prints in the SF Bay Area? I'm looking for
a large variety of all different kinds of films like one used to be able to
find in the library.
Thanks

[Frameworks] Visual Culture in China?

2013-12-01 Thread Dan Anderson
I'll be on a trip to Beijing and Changchun this December.. Does anyone know
if there is a culture or any venues for experimental film/video art/moving
images?

I'm also interested in VJ clubs or wherever there may be innovative use of
lights/image.

thanks!

Re: [Frameworks] Visual Culture in China?

2013-12-01 Thread Pip Chodorov

Dan,
There is very little.
Get in touch with Julien Tang julien.t...@beijingdc.org and Sandy
Ding sandyf...@126.com. We projected 16mm a few times in some of
the art galleries in 798 and Caochangdi. They can point you in the
right direction. There are also some film/video events at UCCA
sometimes.

[Frameworks] sound track collaboration

2013-12-01 Thread Peter Hofstad
Any filmmakers in need of music for their current projects? I record mostly
hypnagogic, loop-based music that (in my opinion) fits non-narrative film
particularly well.

Check out my bandcamp here for examples:
http://eerieapartment.bandcamp.com/

I'd love to provide a track for your film or collaborate on something.

Thanks,
PW Hofstad
