This is a really good book. I used to own it in the 70’s, but I sold it when I
was quite poor. Now I teach in the film department that Gunther Hoos founded.
Sadly, he died this past year. Problem with your offer is that the book can be
bought from Amazon for around $15.

[Frameworks] Film Production Books

2017-03-30 Thread Dominic Angerame
I have a copy of "The Handbook of S8mm Production" by Mark Mikalos and
Gunter Hoos. This is published in the 70s and a detailed instruction book
on Super8mm fimmaking with great photos and illustrations. A must for those
working in S8mm. It is more intensive then Lipton's book. It is on Ebay if
interested I can give frameworkers discounts

Re: [Frameworks] "A Roll for Peter" at ATA Sat April 1 !!!!!!

2017-03-30 Thread Sarah Schipschack

dear frameworkers,

following this great project from europe, I would like to bring "A Roll
for Peter" to europe!

If this is possible? And if I bring the program to europe, who would be
interested to follow up with more screenings in europe?

We have in the end of august 2017 a projekt in tromso (norway), where I
would love to show the films and think we could deal with the transport
to norway.

Thanks

Sarah

[Frameworks] This Saturday: Emily Eddy ++ The Nightingale Turns NINE!

2017-03-30 Thread Jesse Malmed


Hey hi hello!

This Saturday The Nightingale Cinema is celebrating its ninth (!!) birthday
with a program of works by Co-Director Emily Eddy! Emily is a wonderful
artist and programmer (perhaps Angelenos saw her program last week at Echo
Park?) whose spirit, generosity, smarts and hard work help make the
Nightingale such a vital space.

We hope you'll join us for a program of Emily's work (along some special
surprises) before cake and dancing and other carousing to celebrate another
year of daring, visionary cinema, a strong community both in Chicago and
across the globe, resistance, resilience and revelry.
